“Ben and I met at a mutual friends birthday party in February. Two years later Ben got down on one knee to propose at the blue mountains lookout overlooking the three sisters after a day of abseiling and canyoning. We started to plan for our big traditional summer wedding which we finally celebrated in February.”

Macedonian weddings are rich in tradition, with family and friends gathering at the bride’s home early in the morning before the ceremony. The atmosphere is lively as everyone helps the bride get ready, offering support and celebrating the big day. It’s a time for close-knit bonding and sharing in the excitement, creating lasting memories before the official wedding festivities begin.

The ceremony was held at the Macedonian Orthodox Community Church in Narrabundah, where the vibrant colours of the church’s intricate architecture created a stunning backdrop. The rich hues of gold, deep reds, and blues adorned the walls, blending traditional Orthodox iconography with a sense of grandeur. Surrounded by family and friends, the vivid surroundings added a sacred and joyful atmosphere to the occasion, making it a day to remember.

The photographs were taken at the National Rose Gardens, Old Parliament House, and the modern Nishi building, blending heritage architecture with contemporary design. Each location offers a unique perspective on Canberra’s diverse architectural landscape.

The Hellenic Club of Canberra in Woden is a popular venue for receptions, offering modern facilities and excellent service. It’s perfect for large wedding events, with a welcoming atmosphere and versatile spaces.

“Eddison Photography shot our wedding photos for my wife and I in mid February. We had a traditional Macedonian style wedding which went from 6:30 in the morning to 12 at night.

It was an extremely hot day with everyone feeling the heat, but all our pictures turned out amazing. Eddie and Marina always kept the mood up and made us all feel so comfortable! They were so enthusiastic and motivated throughout the entire day.

They had so many great ideas for different styles of pictures and also incorporated our ideas into the shoots which made our shots turn out more incredible than we could of ever imagined.

Our main photo locations were Nishi building and old parliament House suggested by Eddie which perfectly suited to our styles and they provided us with the incredible photos and memories that we will cherish for a lifetime!
